South Tangerang, 13 June 2023 – The Indonesian Technology Innovation Foundation (INOTEK), in collaboration with the Sampoerna Entrepreneurship Training Center (SETC) as PT HM Sampoerna Tbk’s MSMEs coaching and development program held a training event entitled Level Up Indonesian MSMEs as a series of activities from UMKM Untuk Indonesia Program.
The event, which was attended by 100 MSMEs, aims to strengthen digital marketing capacity and optimize digital payments using QRIS. This is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs to encourage local economic growth.
“Through the collaboration of the government, industry, community, and other stakeholders, we will continue to develop MSMEs so that they can level up and have quality and are ready to go digital to increase their competitiveness,” said the Head of the South Tangerang City Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Warman Syanudin, when opening the training.
Meanwhile, Lista Hurustiati, the founder of the Lengkong outlet business and the chief executive of the South Tangerang City CSR who was present at the training event, expressed her appreciation for this training and mentoring program initiative. She emphasized the importance of MSMEs going digital.
“Digital marketing and payment are one of the assets to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs to be able to expand their business market share,” Lista said when giving a speech at the event.
Meanwhile, the Head of External Affairs of Sampoerna Ishak Danuningrat said that Sampoerna is committed to supporting the growth of MSMEs, including through digital transformation. “Through the umbrella of the Sampoerna for Indonesia sustainability program, we always support the MSME sector to continue to grow as one of the main drivers of the national economy,” said Ishak. Since its establishment in 2007, SETC has provided training to more than 67,000 MSMEs in Indonesia, both online and offline.
INOTEK Executive Director, Ivi Anggraeni hopes that MSME actors who take part in this event can continue to increase the capacity of digital business knowledge they have acquired to develop their businesses so that they can have an impact on economic progress, especially in South Tangerang City.
The UUI program, which will be held from March to November 2023, aims to develop the digital technology capabilities of MSMEs in DKI Jakarta and Banten Provinces so that they can increase their competitiveness. In implementing the UUI program for Digital Transformation, INOTEK and SETC are collaborating with several strategic partners, including the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Banten Provincial Government, Tangerang City Government, South Tangerang City Government, and Serang City Government.
