Workshop on Increasing Access to Funding Capacity for MSMEs | Build Back National Economy Better Program

07 March 2022

Karawang, March 4, 2022, MSMEs in the economy have an important and strategic role. However, MSMEs still have obstacles, both to obtain financing and to develop their businesses. In terms of financing, there are still many MSME actors who have difficulty getting access to credit from banks or other financial institutions, either because of technical constraints, for example not having/not enough collateral, as well as non-technical constraints, such as limited access to banking information.

In this regard, through the Build Back National Economy Better program, INOTEK in collaboration with Sampoerna Untuk Indonesia has held a workshop “Increasing Access to Funding Capacity for MSMEs” which was held hybridly at the Mercure Hotel Karawang and streamed via Zoom Meeting and Youtube INOTEK Foundation.

In this activity, there are three understandings given in order to increase access to funding capacity, the first is basic material on the use of financial applications and basic accounting, the second is understanding access to business capital for KUR Bank Rakyat Indonesia and the third is access to business capital from PNM (Permodalan Nasional Madani).

The purpose of this activity is to provide insight to MSME actors to be able to increase or even provide access to funding for business development for MSME actors.

In addition to the workshop on increasing access to funding on the previous day (3 March 2022), a Business Matching was held between Karawang SMEs with Retail and Souvenir Shops. This activity aims to open a market network for local products, especially MSMEs so that they have a broad market so that they can restore the economy.
