Yogyakarta, November 1, 2014– INOTEK Foundation in collaboration with and support from PT HM Sampoerna Tbk. (“Sampoerna”) under the umbrella of “Sampoerna for Indonesia” (SUI) has launched an intiative called Socially Responsible and Environmentally Sustainable Innovative Entrepreneur Program (WIBSL) to support the development of Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) that are socially responsible and environmentally sustainable.
Under this program socially responsible and environmentally sustainable SGBs will receive a series of training, networking opportunities to strengthen their businesses. Targeted participants are SGBs from 7 cities in Indonesia, namely Yogyakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Malang, Jember and Palembang.

During the launching event, Contribution & CSR Manager of PT HM Sampoerna Tbk, Taruli Arita explained that the new program is one of the contributions of Sampoerna in economic empowerment and environmental sustainability fields.
According to Inotek’s Executive Director, Diyanto Imam, in his presentation during the launch, three SGBs from each city will receive IDR 10 million grants and the opportunity to participate in the Investor Forum event in Jakarta in mid 2015. Of the 21 finalists from 7 cities, the three winners in the final round will each receive IDR 50 million grants.

The launching event was attended by 100 participants consisting of SMEs, SME associations, innovators, business incubators, government agencies, academics, students and media.
