MSMEs Going Digital “UMKM Untuk Indonesia Program”

Jakarta, 11 May 2023 – INOTEK in collaboration with Sampoerna Entrepreneurship Training Center (SETC), under the umbrella of Sampoerna for Indonesia sustainability program conduct Seminar and Mentoring event entitled MSMEs Going Digital as a series of activities from UMKM Untuk Indonesia Program in Jakarta.

The event, which was attended by 120 MSMEs, aims to accelerate the growth and development of MSMEs, especially in Jakarta, through the use of digital technology in an effort to expand the market. This is expected to strengthen the economy in Jakarta.

The Head of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs Jakarta, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, expressed her appreciation for this training and mentoring program initiative. She emphasized the importance of MSMEs going digital.

“Digital transformation for MSMEs is one of the efforts to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in order to be able to expand their business market share,” said Elisabeth when opening the event.

Meanwhile, Sampoerna’s Head of External Affairs Ishak Danuningrat said that Sampoerna is committed to supporting the growth of MSMEs in Indonesia, including in Jakarta, which in this case is focused on digital transformation.

“Through the umbrella of the Sampoerna for Indonesia sustainability program, we always support the MSME sector to continue to grow as one of the main drivers of the national economy,” said Ishak. Since its establishment in 2007, SETC has provided training to more than 65,000 MSME in Indonesia, both online and offline.

INOTEK Executive Director, Ivi Anggraeni hopes that MSME actors participating in this event will be able to develop their business in a sustainable manner, one of which is through the use of digital technology so that it can have an impact on economic progress, especially in Jakarta.

The UUI Program for Digital Transformation, which started in March – November 2023, aims to develop the digital technology capabilities of MSMEs in Jakarta and Banten, to increase MSMEs competitiveness. In implementing the UUI program, INOTEK and SETC are collaborating with several strategic partners, including the Jakarta Provincial Government, Banten Provincial Government, South Tangerang City Government, and Serang City Government
